Celownik/ Dative and Introduction to Vocative / Wołacz
Dative is the case of the indirect object in the sentence.
For example, in the sentence Dałam Annie torebkę ( (I gave Anna a handbag), Annie is in the indirect object in the dative case while torebkę is the direct object in the accusative case.
